At Harmony Counseling Collective, we understand that when a child or teen is struggling, the effects are often felt throughout the family. Parents may feel worried, exhausted, or uncertain about what to do next, while the young person may have difficulty explaining what they are experiencing.
Our therapists work with tweens, teens, adults, and families in a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment. We consider each client as an individual and as part of a family or support system. When appropriate, parents and other family members may be included in care and given practical tools to support progress outside of therapy.
Treatment is tailored to the client’s age, needs, circumstances, and goals. Our therapists use evidence-based practices, current clinical knowledge, and a variety of therapeutic approaches to help clients better understand what they are experiencing and develop strategies that can be applied in everyday life.
Whether your family is navigating anxiety, ADHD, emotional or behavioral difficulties, depression, trauma, or another concern, our team will work with you to identify the support and approach that fit best.

Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE):
SPACE is a parent-based treatment for children and teens experiencing anxiety. It helps parents better understand how they respond to their child’s anxiety and make supportive changes that encourage the child to face fears and develop greater confidence.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART):
ART may be used to help clients process distressing memories, difficult experiences, and the emotional responses connected to them.

Family systems therapy considers how a person’s challenges may be influenced by their family environment and support system. This approach can help families recognize patterns, better understand one another, and develop more effective ways to support progress.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT):
DBT helps clients develop practical skills for emotional regulation, mindfulness, distress management, and responding more effectively to difficult situations.
Talk Therapy:
Talk therapy gives clients a supportive place to explore their thoughts, feelings, experiences, and concerns with a therapist. Sessions are adapted to the client’s age, comfort level, and therapeutic goals.
Somatic Work:
Somatic work brings attention to the connection between emotional experiences and physical responses in the body. It can help clients become more aware of how stress and difficult emotions show up physically.
Trauma-Informed Therapy:
Trauma-informed therapy recognizes how distressing or traumatic experiences may affect a client’s emotions, behavior, sense of safety, and daily life. Care is provided with sensitivity to the client’s experiences and individual needs.

Therapy can give children and teens a safe place to understand and express what they are experiencing. Depending on their needs, therapy may help them develop skills for managing anxiety, regulating emotions, improving focus, responding to stress, handling behavioral challenges, or navigating school and social situations.
Parents and family members may also be included when appropriate. This can help families better understand the concern, respond more effectively, and support the use of therapeutic tools at home.
Before beginning therapy, you will have a 15-minute consultation with the intake coordinator. This call helps the team understand your needs and match you with an appropriate therapist.
During the first therapy session, the therapist will begin learning more about the client’s current concerns, relevant experiences, and goals for counseling. Parents may participate when appropriate, depending on the client’s age and the reason for seeking support.
The first session is also an opportunity to ask questions and begin becoming comfortable with the therapeutic process.
While we are an out-of-network practice and don't directly accept insurance, many of our clients are able to use their benefits through Mentaya. Mentaya makes it easy to check your out-of-network benefits and understand what reimbursement you may be eligible to receive.
Payment is due at the time of service, but if your plan includes out-of-network benefits, Mentaya can help simplify the reimbursement process so you can make use of your available insurance benefits.
The team supports clients experiencing anxiety, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, depression and mood concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioral challenges, low self-esteem, school and social difficulties, grief and loss, trauma, parent-child conflict, and family communication concerns.
Because every client’s situation is different, the recommended therapist and approach will depend on the client’s age, needs, and goals.

Available services include individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy options. The intake coordinator will help determine which service and therapist best fit your needs.
